“The IAMM exhibition Oceans That Speak, on view from 13 December 2024 to 15 June 2025, takes you on a journey through the Malay world—a place full of trade, travel, and exciting ideas.

Thanks to its great location by the sea and rich natural resources, such as spices, the Malay world became an important stop for traders and visitors from all over. People came not just to trade, but also to build friendships and share knowledge, including the teachings of Islam.
