About the Event

In conjunction with the 'Oceans That Speak' exhibition, the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia invites you to explore the traditional craft of Telepuk (The Art of Stamping Gold Leaf). This immersive workshop will celebrate the artistry and heritage of wooden stamp carving, which played a significant role in Malay textile ornamentation.

This workshop will be held on May 29, 2025, rescheduled from its original date as a tribute to the late Tokoh Kraf Negara, Adiguru Prof. Adjung Norhaiza Noordin, for his dedication in preserving wood carving and the telepuk wooden stamp. Leading the workshop will be the Bentara Bongsu, Mohd Noor Idzuan Bin Muhammad Radzali, a highly trained and committed wood carving practitioner. With his expertise, he will carry forward the legacy and distinctive artistic heritage left behind by the late Adiguru.

*This workshop will be held in Malay.
