About the Event
In conjunction with the Oceans That Speak exhibition, the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia invites you to explore the traditional craft of Telepuk (The Art of Gold Leaf). This immersive workshop will celebrate the artistry and heritage of wooden stamp carving, which played a significant role in Malay textile ornamentation. Guided by Tokoh Kraf Negara, Adiguru Prof. Adjung Norhaiza Noordin, participants will learn carving techniques and motifs that showcase timeless cultural legacies.

* The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia extends its deepest condolences on the passing of the late Norhaiza Noordin on 19 December 2024. A highly respected Adiguru of Fine Woodcarving, he made significant contributions and served as an inspiration to the local craft industry.
In light of his passing, the Telepuk workshop has been postponed. Updates on its rescheduling will be shared in due course. Thank you for your understanding, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
