About the event:
This roundtable builds on the exhibition Oceans that Speak and the public history campaign Malaysia Unbound. It brings together historians, curators, archivists, activists, and public scholars to explore how trans-regional history—focusing on mobility, migration, and cross-border connections—can empower Malaysians. By highlighting inclusive narratives that challenge constructs like race, gender, and borders, the discussion aims to show how these boundaries have historically been crossed and negotiated.
*This event will be conducted in English.
