This exhibition highlighted keris as one of the most important cultural manifestation of the Malay world. It is the dagger of distinction, a cultural phenomenon and regarded the regional symbol of power and identity. The thematic sections brought visitors into the voyage through the realm and its rich history; from its inception to the legendary reputation it has acquired over the centuries.

The exclusive keris collection of HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the Sultan of Selangor and important keris collection of IAMM along with the supplementing objects unveiled new perspective about the region, the regal affiliation and the influence of Islam under the much deserved spotlight reaching international audience–showcasing the nation’s pride, legacy and the continuity.

This exhibition was held at Special Gallery 2, from 2 December 2022 until 13 March 2023.
