Student Group Visit


The IAMM Education Department welcomes self-guided and guided visits for students of all age groups.

Please note that a Student Group Visit to IAMM requires pre-booking with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for all group visits of 20 students and above which will enable us to ensure that our galleries are not overcrowded. Group visits with short-notice who require guided tours are not guaranteed a guide during the visit. Your booking will be confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from our Education Department. We recommend that you read our Frequently Asked Questions before proceeding to book a student group visit.

Beginning January 2023, all bookings for Student Group Visits should be made through our online form. We no longer accept bookings made through email or phone. Inquiries about school visits may be sent to education@iamm.org.my.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the entrance fee for school groups? Am I eligible for discounts?

Student group visits are automatically entitled to 50% off the standard ticket fee. Admission fee for school groups to the galleries are as below:

Institutions that are provided free entry are only applicable to orphanages who should email us with a verification letter from their institution. They may note their status in the Booking Form and we will contact them for confirmation.

What happens if my group arrives late?

As much as possible, we urge group visits to adhere to the timings already stated according to the confirmation email. If there are any changes on the time/date of visit, please inform us at least 3 days in advance by contacting the Education Department at 03-2092 7032 or write to education@iamm.org.my.

In the occasion that your group arrives late on the day for a guided visit, the staff at IAMM have the right to reduce the length of tour where necessary. 

How long are the guided tour sessions?

Guided tours are provided by our Education Department staff and they generally last between 1-1.5 hours. If a Gallery Activity is selected, the tour will be focused around the activity and will also last between 1-1.5 hours.

How long are the Be Inspired Modular Programme (BIMP) sessions?

BIMP sessions take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the number of people in the group. For more information on how long each session takes and the minimum and maximum number of people per session, please check out our BIMP Programmes available.

Are there any activities I can do as part of my group visit?

Student Group Visits are welcome to explore the galleries on their own, or book a slot for a Guided Tour. Gallery Activities are available to enhance your visit experience in our galleries. You may also include one of our BIMP programmes, where students get to be creative by learning and applying age-old Islamic art techniques at our Educational Learning Workshop, as part of your visit.

How can I pay for my visit?

Ticket fee for entrance to the galleries as well as the payment fee for Gallery Activities can be by cash made on the day of visit.

Can I cancel/postpone my visit?
