Job purpose: To maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment by efficiently washing dishes, cleaning equipment, managing waste, and supporting culinary staff to ensure seamless back-of-house operations.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils using dishwashers or by hand;
- Clean work surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment;
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of trash following guidelines;
- Maintain clean bin areas;
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (washers, compactors);
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies;
- Aid cooks/servers by handing clean utensils, restocking.
- Receive and store deliveries, rotate stock (FIFO);
- Adhere to sanitation, HACCP, and safety policies.
- Report equipment or hazard issues.
Requirements:
- SPM / diploma or equivalent; on-the-job training standard;
- Ability to operate industrial dishwashers, cleaning machines, follow SDS guidelines;
- 0-3 years of related working experience;
