JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop creative educational programmes for visitors, including workshops for school and university students.
- Manage the museum’s Instagram account for education-related content (stories and posts).
- Plan, coordinate, and lead guided tours for groups.
- Conduct workshops, storytelling sessions, and craft activities.
- Provide museum briefings and explanations to visitors.
- Design and propose new initiatives or features for education activities.
- Conduct student interviews and manage related administrative tasks.
- Plan and support education activities for exhibitions and school programmes.
- Organise and facilitate school visits, including tours and workshops.
- Lead annual departmental programmes such as Tadarus and International Museum Day.
- Assist in the implementation of ongoing departmental education initiatives.
- Prepare budgets and handle administrative tasks for education programmes.
- Position is roster based.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Art History, Museum Studies, Multimedia or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years of related experience;
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintains a high level of neatness in all tasks;
- Able to engage, assist, and adapt to a wide range of age groups, including children, teenagers, adults, and senior visitors;
- Willing to work on weekends and Public Holidays following the roster;
- Knowledge and experience in organising events and workshop;
- Knowledge in Islamic culture and history;
- Good communication skills;
- Great time management skills;
- Proficiency in computer software (Canva, Photoshop etc);
- Ability to speak Arabic or proficiency in Jawi is an added advantage.
