ARABIC AND PERSIAN TRANSLATOR

Nature of Job

• Translating exhibit descriptions, catalogues, and informational materials.
• Assisting with the translation of research papers and publications related to our collection.
• Providing real-time translation services for events, tours, and educational programs.
• Ensuring all translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and reflective of the cultural nuances of the Islamic world.

The candidate should possess:

• Proficiency in Arabic, Persian language, communication and interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity
• Fluency in English.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Islamic Studies, Art History, Persian/Arabic language or a related field.
• Master’s degree or higher is preferred
• Formal training or certification in translation is highly desirable
• Proven experience in translation, particularly within the field of art and cultural heritage.
• An understanding of Islamic art and history.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
