The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM) has evolved into a prominent Islamic art museum ever since its opening in December 1998. In recognition of its achievements, IAMM has earned multiple awards, strengthening its role as the custodian, collector, preserver, and educator of the arts from the Islamic world. The museum currently houses more than 12,000 artefacts, with an increasing number of masterpieces being added into its collection, displayed across twelve permanent galleries and through a series of special exhibitions. Marking its 20th anniversary celebrations this 14th December 2018, and also in addition to the grand launching of its Scholar’s Library, IAMM will be holding a series of exhibitions, publications, and programmes over the course of twelve months to highlight the wonderful journey that we had since the beginning.
