Following the success of last year's workshop at IAMM, Fuad Kouichi Honda returns to Kuala Lumpur, offering another rare opportunity to learn from the globally acclaimed Arabic calligrapher. Join us for two special workshops at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia:

*Recommended for those who attended Mr Honda's previous workshop or have at least 1 year experience in Arabic Calligraphy.

The Calligrapher:
Fuad Kouichi Honda

A renowned Arabic calligrapher from Tokyo began his journey in Arabic calligraphy while working as an interpreter in Arab countries. He learned the basis of Arabic calligraphy under local Arabic calligraphers. In 2000, he received the Ijaza of Arabic Calligraphy from Turkish Master Hasan Çelebi.

Honda’s works has gained high evaluations and featured in major museums worldwide, including the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, The British Museum and the Asian Civilizations Museum, In 2006, he published his first art book, The Cosmos of Arabic Calligraphy, and founded the Japan Arabic Calligraphy Association, where he serves as president.

Experience first-hand the unique, innovative, and spiritual approach of Mr. Honda, whose works are exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, The British Museum, and the Asian Civilisations Museum.
